Hi..I had gone thorugh your question and understand your concerns. If I would have been your treating physician,I would have come with following possibilities:
a) The first possibility is Acid Peptic Disease (APD). It can be diagnosed clinically as well.Squeezing or burning pain in upper stomach(
epigastrium) and some time regurgitation of food and heartburn like symptoms. To help control stomach acid, one should not drink alcohol or eat spicy foods. Also take Antacids. If symptoms persist then you may need drugs like
proton pump inhibitors.
b) Second possibility is
pancreatitis as it may cause upper left
abdominal pain which gets worse on bending or leaning forward or sitting.Pancreatic amylases and lipases should be measured to rule out the pancreatic cause.
c)Third possibility is angina pain (Pain due to ischaemic heart problem). This is severe, constricting pain in the retrosternal region radiating to left arm, hand or back. It can be ruled out by doing ECG.
I suggest you to consult your physician and get ECG,
Ultrasound abdomen and pancreatic enzymes.
Hope this answers your question. If you have any additional questions or follow up questions then feel free to ask anytime.I will be more than happy to answer your queries.
