What Causes Pain In The Toes Of The Left Foot?

Right foot over my little toe and the toe next to it. Last several months has began hurting. I can t stand for air or any material to touch my foot. Had it x-rayed this past week no out of place bones or broken bones. The pain is getting to the point of unbearable. I have soaked in Epson salt two bags worth. I have applied heat. Now I am trying ice. Any suggestions would be appreciated very much.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It could be due to minor contusion or thin hairline fracture which may not be visible in X-rays.

As the first line of management, you can apply ice packs and take analgesics like Acetaminophen or Diclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist, better to consult an orthopedician and get an MRI done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
