What Causes Pain In The Toe?
What causes singular toe pain? My right 4th toe is always painful and swollen. The sdin reddens from the toe over the foot and half way up the calf as if it is sunburned. I do have Sjogren s disease and my last sed rate had risen to 60 March 3, 2017). I m thinking seriously about having it amputated. This has been going on for the last 1 1/2 years. No injuries to it. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you! Linda

The possibilities are gout and arthritis. Consult a physician and check your uric acid level to rule out gouty arthritis. An MRI scan is also required to rule out conditions like minor contusion or arthritis. As of now you can take analgesics like Aceclofenac or Tramadol for pain relief.
