What Causes Pain In The Throat And Ear?

Hello Doctor, I have an pain in my lower throat area, right site, near my Adam s apple. It is an ache more than a sharp pain. The pain also radiates towards my right ear. I m 31, have smoked in the past, but quit in the fall of 2015 after approx. 8 years. I vaporize cannabis at times and this tends to leave me slightly dehydrated. The ache in my throat does seen to diminish once I rehydrate, but does not go away completely. Could the pain be associated with the vaporization? I m under a lot of stress so I thought anxiety and/or high blood pressure could also be involved. I ve had the pain for approximately 1 week. Thank you.
