Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
The front of my left thigh has been aching for 5 or 6 weeks on and off and nothing painful just annoying when I m sitting. I didn t even notice it if I was up and around. But now my right thigh is aching now too. I work at a desk where I sit all day so I notice it and I take Tylenol for it. I am have trouble with my back and am wondering if it could be related or if it s a symptom of something else?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain in the thighs and back . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like neuronal symptoms and due to the compression(in the lower spine). There can be other reasons also like compressed fracture , sciatica and disc problem. I suggest you to get an X ray and CT of the lumbo-sacral spine , blood for fasting sugar, calcium, vitD3 and meet a orthopedic surgeon. Doctor may recommend avoiding bending, heavy weight lifting , physiotherapy like ankle drill, quadriceps etc , prescribe aceclofenac thiocolchicoside combination for 7 days , pregabalin-mecobalamin combination . For now apply warm compresses to lower back and leg , take proper rest , and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . Doctor may also recommend surgery in disc problem . .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
