Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi there, I recently had a urine test come back negative for Chlamydia and Gon, was on doxycycline for 5 days but still feel off. No burning, no discharge, just pain in my testicles. I had received unprotected oral for about 2 minutes which caused all this...unsure where to go from here?
Doxycycline does not protect against all possible infections but only against chlamydia. You might need to have a ceftriaxone injection, single dose, for gonorrhea and metronidazole oral for a week for trichomonas infection as all of these can cause orchitis which is infection affecting testicles and pain.
Your partners might need treatment as well and practicing principles of safe sex might help prevent this in the future.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General & Family Physician

What Causes Pain In The Testicles?
Hello, Because the pain has started after an unprotected intercourse very likely your symptoms are related to a sexually transmitted disease. Normal tests do not rule out these infections 100%. Doxycycline does not protect against all possible infections but only against chlamydia. You might need to have a ceftriaxone injection, single dose, for gonorrhea and metronidazole oral for a week for trichomonas infection as all of these can cause orchitis which is infection affecting testicles and pain.
