What Causes Pain In The Ribs?

I have a little pain at the point where my ribs come together at the top of my stomach. Two times the pain went to my right about two inches. I passed a little gas a couple of times. Is that normal ?? Or is it just gas or i hope nothing to do with a heartatac?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per the narration, the issue sounds to be reflux of stomach acid giving epigastric discomfort and rib pain.

The heart pain is not of such characteristics. Intake of proton pump inhibitor as omeprazole with Tylenol will help to recover the best way. Avoid all spices and non-veg stuff.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Purva Patel, General & Family Physician
