What Causes Pain In The Ribs And Abdomen?

I have been having symptoms such as: Pain under rib cage, pain just below rib cage on both sides including some swelling, pain on both sides of my back, sharp pain all around my abdomen, bladder pain, pelvic and lower abdominal pain. I was at the hospital in December and found out i had ovarian cysts and was told it would go away but since then the pain is getting worse. my mother died from breast cancer. Is it possible i have ovarian cancer?

Hi,

Having a family history of ovarian cancer does not mean you are going to get that. You have higher chances as compared to those who don't have any family members with ovarian cancer.

Cyst should be regularly followed up with your gynecologist. Ruptured cyst will cause tremendous pain as in your case. Follow up with your gynecologist and discuss to get screened for ovarian cancer and breast.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
