What Causes Pain In The Palate Where The Cyst Was Removed?
Hello, I had a cyst removed from my palate 4 years ago.I didn`t have histopatology done on it.I didn`t have any problems for 4 years.Recently from time to time I feel the pain in the area where the cyst was.It feels as if the skin was burning and I also feel some pulsation there. There is no bleeding or wound but when I touch the skin with my tongue it feels different and is painful.I also had a cyst on my neck about 2 years ago ( on the same side of the body). It was removed and also wasn`t checked by pathomorphologist. From when I was about 14 I`ve had a little lump by my ear- again same side of the body ( Can last two have anything to do with the first one?) I was smoking cigarettes for 6 years in the past ( I`m 34 years old now and I stopped smoking when I was 22).I`m really worried it can be something serious. Unfortunately there was lots of cancers in my family (including my grandma,my mum and her sister).P.S. I had the cysts removed and not checked in another country. Please find an image of my palate attached.Thank you for your help.
Thank for your query with the history of yours firstly you are supposed check the histopathological report of the tissue removed and you give a history of repeated swellingg which could be fibromas. But your family history is positive for some other major issues kindly check with pathology report.Secondly, as you mentioned smoking would be the reason for inflammation of your mucosa which is constantly irritating the surgical site but it is time to visit your dentist as well physician and pathplogist.hope this helpful
