What Causes Pain In The Outer Corner Of The Eyes?

Hi ! I recently started having a pain in the outer corner of my eye and it feels very sore and like a bruise when I touch it . It looks like the cancula (probably spelt it wrong) is inflamed and that s the area where the pain is coming from . Any suggestions on why this is happening ? It s been a few days now and nothing is relieving the soreness

Oncologist 's  Response
Hi,

Iritis or uveitis: An inflammation inside your eye from trauma, infections, or problems with your immune system. Sinusitis: An infection in one of your sinuses. When pressure builds up behind your eyes, it can cause pain on one or both sides. Stye: This is a tender bump on the edge of your eyelid.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Monish De, Oncologist
