What Causes Pain In The Middle Of The Chest And Upper Back?
Hi, For the past two nights, I ve had pain in the middle of my chest, the upper part of my back hurts and for a few weeks I ve had indigestion even if I don t eat anything all day. I noticed last night my jaws were hurting bad. My jaws are not hurting tonight but I m extremely restless and can get no relief from my back.
The pain you describe can be due to a few conditions. One is heart problems that might cause pain in the chest, back and neck. Another possible cause is reflux disease from acid reflux from the stomach. The last one might cause chest pain and hurt in the throat but back pain is uncommon unless the back pain is not related to it.
Another possible cause is muscular pain that is affecting the chest, back and neck.
To better know the cause it is important to have a visit with your doctor. He will check your heart, lungs, abdomen and muscles and do a thorough history and physical exam which will give him clues which is the most likely cause of your symptoms and better treatment.
I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Antoneta Zotaj,
