What Causes Pain In The Lower Back Radiating To Buttocks, Leg And Foot?

Hello , I have had this pain that runs from my lower back through my left butt cheek and through my left leg to my foot that has been getting worse . It feels like it is a nerve or something but the pain is never consistent . It is when I make certain moves , or sit in a soft chair or lay down for my sleep . The most intense pain happens when I sit down and/or sit down for too long . Now it feels like my leg wants to give out on me and I can also feel pain in the bone of my upper leg going into my hip. Over the counter medication does not work nor creams , but if I keep a Capiscan Heat pad on the affected area , left butt cheek and lower spine , it provides more relief .

General & Family Physician 's  Response
With the given history I would suggest you to visit your orthopaedician to evaluate for your spine related pathology with a x ray ,etc, as it seems like your sciatic nerve at your back is compressed for which you have to evaluate
