What Causes Pain In The Lower Abdomen?

My son is 14 and is complaining of stomach pain. He s pointing to his lower tummy area, not on the sides where the appendix or kidney s are located. I was thinking just give him Pepto, what do you think? He s been complaining of the pain for about an hour now.

Hi welcome to the health care magic

Exact location of pain needs to be known for giving more comment

If pain is in stomach are as you have mentioned in history then sudden onset pain could be from acute gastritis or gastric ulcer like problem...

For that you can give him pantoprazole tablet for week

Avoid gastric irritants foods like....
_excess tea, coffee
_smoking
_stress
_fried nom veg

Yougurt included in diet

Cooked oatmeal help in soothing stomach

Drink warm water for drinking

If no improvement then USG scan planned and antibiotic course prescribed
