What Causes Pain In The Lower Abdomen While Walking?

I have lower abdominal pain while walking, standing and getting up from a sitting position. I am overweight and my stomach and lower abdomen are large & actually hangs ....I had a C section in 1984 and was told I had multiple scar tissue in my abdomen. I recently stopped my exercise routine. I have no other symptoms. It almost feels like a pulled muscle and also feel pain getting into bed. My PCP said I was constipated but even with normal bowel movements I still have the pain. Your thoughts were be greatly appreciated.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your history and description, the possibility of musculoskeletal pain is more likely, and it is mostly due to your obesity. So, it is better to consult the dietician for a strict diet plan.

Do regular exercises for weight reduction. Once your abdominal fat reduces, your pain will also subside. You can take a simple painkiller like Paracetamol or Ibuprofen for pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar
