What Causes Pain In The Lower Abdomen While Having UTI?

Hi i am 22 year old, About a month ago i had sex with my boyfriend after which i developed severe urinary tract infection and this went till my right kidney. I was hospitalized and given medical treatment after 2 weeks he did fingering and i developed infection again which caused a cyst on the mouth my uterus. I was on oral pills but the infection dudnt go so now the doctor has given me pill to put in my vagina. The doctor says this will affect my fertility. Is that true? I experience slight pain in my lower abdomen. Please suggest me something. I am very worried. My periods are due on 7th oct

Hello,

You might be having the pelvic inflammatory disease ( PID). It will rarely cause infertility. Infertility will occur only if the infection affects tubes.

Consult a gynecologist and get evaluated. A detailed evaluation is required including a pelvic ultrasound.
