Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was awakened this morning with leg pain. My hip, my leg muscle and bone, my knee were involved. The amount of pain was a little frightening. I took a couple of aspirin and the pain is manageable now. My leg still hurts and I can bend my knee but not without a lot of pain. No discoloration and no swelling. I thought maybe I slept wrong (and too long!) but this is not that. I have never experienced this before. Any thoughts?
I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your pain in leg.
Yes, the most probably the cause of your pain in thigh and associated area is because of muscle spasm, pull or strain.
It may be because of ill posture, excessive stretching or dehydration.
For immediate relief you need have some hot massage to the painful part of your leg.
Take paracetamol in place of asprin as it has both pain killer as well as muscle relaxants action . If pain persists after long and is too annoying please visit a general physician. Hope it will help you and you will write to us if you feel any further help needed.
Regards Dr Muzaffer.
