I have pain in my left heel. The pain is usually on the bottom of the heel but also occurs on the edge around the heel. Right now the pain is on the left edge/side of my heel. My foot and ankle is also swollen. This is the first time that swelling has occurred. Yesterday and today I was on my feet more than usual(cleaning , laundry etc) I have had this pain for several weeks. It is worse today. The pain is not as bad in the morning. When sitting reading etc. I elevate my feet and legs. I have also taken naproxen which helps some.
