Hi I haven t had much energy since I was done work last July,i ve since gone to my family doc and had blood and urine tests to check for various thing including Lyme disease and lack of testosterone.,although I am taking Zoloft for anxiety the side affects seem to be the same as low testosterone. When I force myself to exercise or any real stain I get shoot pains down the left arm and some times the legs to the point of numbness and letting go of anything I may be holding.Basically I was told that If my doc didn t call me back with results not to worry about it.So I made a appointment anyway to seek advice.second opinion would be appreciated.thanx
Sorry to hear of your problems. If we need good work up for your low energy like blood level, hormones test etc.
Regarding your pain that is probably because of some nerve entrapment in your spine. They cause such symptoms with exertion.
Though we can't be sure without proper examination we generally do a scan of the spine to see it and then plan ahead. Mostly physiotherapy is needed but sometime surgery may be needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Mahboob Ur Rahman, General & Family Physician
