What Causes Pain In The Ileocecal Valve?

Yes, I have severe pain in the illeocecal valve area; ER several times say I have good health; drinking mag citrate relieved it = however a few crackers immediately started the pain - up all night; could the gluten prevent the illececal valve from opening? Thank You

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The most common causes of Ileocecal Valve Disorder are diet, allergies, food sensitivities, and stress.
So, I suggest to avoid gluten for a while and evaluate if you will have again the symptoms.
If gluten is the cause of your symptoms, you can consult a dietologist for a specific diet.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
