What Causes Pain In The Hip After Hip Replacement?

I had a hip replacement about one year ago. Since then I still have hip pain especially when bending over and straightening up. One doctor recommended Physical Therapy. When the therapist was giving me astym--he pressed on the inside of my thigh that was instantly painful. He said there was a lump there. Should I be concerned about a clot?

Hi,

No, you should not be worried about a clot, it's very unlikely to be a clot. A clot in legs mostly causes swelling in while limb which may be painful.

Localized swelling is unlikely to be a clot. You should continue with physiotherapy and if no improvement, you may see your orthopedic doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
