General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Plantar fasciitis or calcaneal spurs can be the reason for pain. It is better to have an examination by orthopaedicain to rule out this. A x ray might be needed to rule out other conditions. You can apply ice packs on foot or place your foot on and off on ice water bottle. Taking a short course of NSAIDs like Ibuprofen (motrin) will be helpful also. If there is no improvement then local injection of corticosteroids like triamcinolone will be helpful.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
