What Causes Pain In The Head?

Hi,

I am having a pain in my head like head band. I have started doing all the things in wrong manner and carelessly. I have a constant pressure at my workplace to perform, I am putting maximum time to work. Sleep is reduced. Even at home I am not doing good. Please suggest.

Your symptoms seem to be related to Tension Type Headache, which is typically caused by physical and emotional stress.

There is nothing to worry about!

I would recommend taking ibuprofen for a short period of time, coupled with melatonin before sleeping. This will help you have a better sleep.

Some rest and recreational sports (yoga, swimming, tennis, etc.) would also be really helpful.

If your symptoms persist, I would recommend starting an antidepressant like amytriptiline 10mg before sleeping, as it helps relieve the pain and have a good sleep.

You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.

Hi thanks for asking question.

Your reason for headache most likely seems here to be due to stress related to your job at work place.

Don't take stress while doing job.Try to solve problem with cool mind.Don't overtime at work..

Minimum 6 to 8 hour daily sleep is necessary.

Try daily yoga early in the morning.

Avoid precipitating factors for headache like
-lack of sleep
-skipped meal
-hypoglycemia
-loud noise atmosphere
-bright light etc...

Measure your blood measure as hypertension also can lead headache.

If you have chronic sinusitis like infection it lead reffered headache.

Peppermint oil inhalation or topical inhalation good for headache.

Try to do regular exercise.

If still sometime headache going to be severe then analgesic can taken.
