What Causes Pain In The Forearm After An Electric Shock?
I was shocked by 260 volts a/c about 4 months ago. It entered the outside of my leftforearm and exited the inside of my left forearn. There were burns on both sides of my forearm, my arm went numb, and i was knocked down. Im still experiencing pain in my forearm if i touch it or if i exert any force on it.
Yes, the numbness and the hypersensitivity, which most should have been over within two to three months from the electrical shock mag remain for six months because of much damage of muscle and nervous tissue as both have low regeneration power as compared to other body tissues.
You need to take multivitamins especially vitamin B12 at least for a month or two as supplements.
Also, do some mild exercise daily that will make you heal better. You can also take painkillers but only after consulting your doctor (neurologist).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray , Dentist
