Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain In The Center Of Chest Radiating Towards Shoulder Blade?
I've noticed after being bloated a few weeks ago, a couple lumps located under the xiphoid process that are tender... I have gallbladder problems on the family. Currently feeling pain from center of chest to my right lower shoulder blade. I have vomitted blood in the past and have had severe attacks.
I read your question carefully and understand your concern.
I would like to know if you have performed any fibrogastroscopy before? It is important to investigate the causes of blood vomiting, which could be probably caused by a gastric ucer.
Gall bladder stones could also cause pain in this region. An abdominal ultrasound, besides liver function tests are necessary to exclude this disorder.
I would also recommend performing a careful physical examination for the lumps under the xiphoid process and routine blood test for inflammation, blood electrolytes, a chest x ray to search for the possible cause.
Hope to have been helpful!
Greetings! Dr. Iliri
