Hi,

I have read your query, looks like you have avulsion fracture on 1-5 metatarsal bones in your foot. Metatarsal bones are five long bones that located between your hind foot and as well as mid foot. Avulsion fracture means injury to the bone where a tendon or ligament attaches to it. 2 out of 5 metatarsal fractures can be easily managed. Pain will be severe in almost all cases. Unless and otherwise the lisfranc ligament is injured your fracture will heal within a few months. Here are a few things:
1) Rest is all you need, immobilization so that it will ease the fracture healing.
2) Surgery may/may not be required depends upon the severity of the fracture and as well as the neuromuscular compromise.
3) Ask your consulting orthopedician for a painkiller he may prescribe you some opioids which will help you in alleviating the pain. (Here we go for it when other pain killers fail to alleviate the pain)
4) Your pain will decrease as the time goes by and as the bone starts setting.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
