What Causes Pain In Shoulder Blade And Heaviness In Chest?
I woke up with sharp pain to my back left side under shoulder blade and it is sore today, however I am experiancing some chest heaviness and I am a nurse but dont want to look slilly jumping the gun going to ER for cardiac enzymes and such as I am worried about having MI , I am 55 menopausal , overweight moderatly , take benicar and inderol and have reflux. slightly elevated cholesterol . HELP ????
You are a nurse hence you can know better the importance of having an EKG after any chest and back related problems along with cardiac enzymes to rule out he cause related to heart. This can be due to GERD causing esophagitis. Can be due to muscle spasm. Viral fever can cause this. Anything related to lungs and pleura. Hence You need the following: Rush to ER for cardiac enzymes and EKG. Clinical examination by a Doctor can tell about GERD, myalgia, cardiac or respiratory related problems and get investigated as per the findings. X-ray chest. Tests of blood,. Further investigations will tell us the proper most diagnosis so that an appropriate management can be done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
