What Causes Pain In Right Arm And Shoulder?

I have aching pain in my to right arm / shoulder. Elbow to shoulder. It s been bothering me for around a week. No heart attack symptoms or anything like that. Seems muscular or maybe a pinched nerve. Laying on my back with my arm straight gives some relief. Better in morning but gets worse as day goes on. Going to my Dr in the morning. Any ideas for for pain relief tonight? Tylenol or Motrin helps very little. Keeping me awake at night.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, there can be various possibilities as:

- acute muscle spasm

- ligament sprain or strain

- nerve compression at brachial plexus

- problems at rotator cuff ligaments or tendons.

* A primary work up with your doc may decide whether ortho opinion is needed or not.

* Meanwhile if motrin and tylenol are not working, capsule tramadol hydrochloride is best advisable molecule for pain relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
