What Causes Pain In Pelvic Area While Walking?

Thank you .I find it increasingly more difficult to walk without experiencing pain in the pelvic area. Pain radiates from one groin to the other. Tender to the touch and uncomfortable sleeping. No trauma occurred to the area. I am a 5 year breast cancer survivor.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear thanks for the question.

I share your concerns. There are several possibilities in your case like bone metastases (from breast cancer), arthritis (old age related) of both hip joints, ligament sprains (over work).

I would like to advise you to visit an orthopaedic specialist urgently because bone metastases is a very serious condition. You need to under go CT scan, bone scan, serum calcium levels and biopsy (if metastasis suspected). Meanwhile take adequate rest, calcium rich diet and walk with support as there is danger of fractures.

I hope my reply will help you. Please write for follow up queries. I wish you good health. Please provide a feedback. Thank you
