What Causes Pain In Pelvic Area, Hip, Shoulder And Upper Arm?

I started having pelvic and hip pain recently added to shoulder pain that recently intensified. The pelvic and hip pain is bilateral. The shoulder pain is on the left side and continues on down the upper arm with a heavy aching. Right shoulder does not hurt but recently had a cortisone injection it. When I first awaken or rise after being seated for a while I can barely walk but pain lessens and mobility improves after I have been movingfor a while

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms could be related to arthritis. For this reason, I would recommend performing some tests:

- complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation

- ANA and ANCA antibodies
- ENA profile
- Rheumatoid factor levels
- uric acid plasma levels
- calcium and vitamin D plasma levels.

Consulting with a Rheumatologist is necessary.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
