10 year old dtr had sudden post-lat neck pain on vacation in Florida after waking up from sleeping on a couch. I was pretty sure initially that the neck pain came on from poor positioning of neck on the arm rest. But she then vomited a few times that day then seemed fine by days end. No fever. Then 2 weeks later, sudden onset of same neck pain started a few hours after waking and without vomiting but had some numbness a few hours later in her left hand and wrist area and L side upper and lower lip and teeth for about 30 min. No fever or vomiting this time. Neck pain seemed relieved by massage and gentle stretching and distraction. (I m a Physical Therapist). The numbness in face concerned me. Any thoughts??
