What Causes Pain In Neck And Head With History Of Brain Concussion?

I am 65 years old and I have strange back of the neck and head pains periodically for the last several months. I had a car accident and brain concussion at age 15 (50 years ago), unconscious for 11 days. My doctor suggested that I should monitor my brain health and any unusual fealings or symptoms in my head, thus I m concerned about a stroke or brain cancer.

I understood your query and I hope my answer will solve your query.

You are having strange pain at the back of the head and neck.

You had a history of a car accident and brain concussion at age of 15 i.e 50 years ago and you were unconscious for 11 days.

I think this pain which you are experiencing may be muscular in origin more may be result of you driving the car in uncomfortable position. You can take some pain killer Tab. Diclofenac sodium and some muscle relaxant.

The doctor may have suggested to monitor your brain health and unusual symptoms in your head at the time of accident but 50 years is a long time.

I do not think it is cancer as you are having the headache for several months. Also I do not think you have stroke as the head is followed by vomiting, loss of movements, paralysis and unconsciuosness (at times).

Just relax, take some combination of Non steroidal anti inflammatory drug with a muscle relaxant. Try for 2 days or so.

If this does not help then you can contact your physician.
