Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms seem to be related to inflammation.

An inflammatory connective tissue disorder (immunological) or an infection, affecting your joints (through an immunological reaction) may be the cause of your symptomatology.

I recommend consulting with your GP for a careful physical examination and some blood lab tests:

- complete blood count
- PCR, sedimentation rate (inflammation)
- kidney and liver function tests
- uric acid plasma levels
- Rheumatoid factor plasma levels
- blood electrolytes, including Calcium and phosphorus
- anti streptolysine O titer
- other immunological tests (like ANA, ANCA, ENA, etc).

You should discuss with your doctor on these issues.

Regarding public forum questions, they are really free. You don't need to pay anything for this answer.

Hope to have been helpful!

Best regards,

Dr. Iliri
