Hi,
1. Consult an orthopedic surgeon regarding hip discomfort since it could be because of
hip osteoarthritis, AVN [avascular necrosis], DVT [deep vein thrombosis], PVD [peripheral vascular disorder],
nerve irritation [sciatica] or simply because of cramps in calf [due to
diabetes, calcium or salt deficiency], who might ask for investigations like Hb%, WBC, ESR, C- reactive protein, RA test, and X-Ray Hip.
PS. The symptoms have to be carefully assessed by your doctor to ensure that whether it requires immediate medical attention or long-term therapy since pain could be due to a problem with the circulatory/
lymphatic system or with the kidneys, and along with medicines continued
physical therapy could be advised.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
