What Causes Pain In Ear And Head After Being Hit On Chin?

I had got hit hard in the chin by a dog ,then there was a sharp pain and right near my ear and my temperal something popped , i do not have any blurred vision but my head hurts, on the front side of my head. could this be a knot that popped .it scares me

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain as you have got hit over the chin and there has been
pain near ear and headache there is a possibility that there has been injury to the jaw joint and the severity of injury might be more on right side leading to pain and headache can be radiating pain from the jaw joint..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated and along with a thorough clinical evaluation he can advise you to get a full mouth x ray known as Orthopantomogram done to rule out the exact cause of problem and treat you accordingly..

As of now you can take a soft diet..
Take painkillers like Ibuprofen or Tramadol for pain relief..
Avoid excess mouth opening..
