What Causes Pain In Chest Area Of A Child?

My 8 year old has chest pains. It feels like it s her heart. A burning and tugging. And it goes to her body. Her arms legs. Her joints are popping. She s fatigue all the time. We had chest x-ray, EKG and CT scan and it came back fine. They determined it was Costochondritis. But since then it has spread to her entire body. She is sore all over and feels weak. Says it feels like a pinching in her muscles. Her joints are stiff and crack at the slightest move.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

In addition to the tests that she already did, you may want to consider blood tests as well.

There are bloods that can pick up systemic causes of fatigue and joint pain. This would include:(1) a complete blood count- would check for infection and also can give information on other conditions as well
(2)ESR (looks for inflammation in the body)
(3) Hb electrophoresis- looks for her blood type, there are some types that are associated with these symptoms

These are baseline tests that may give an idea as to the cause of her symptoms.

I hope this helps
