What Causes Pain In Belly Button?

I have had pain just above my belly button to the left for a week or so - only way I can explain the pain is if you could imagine snow when you pour water on it and it creates hole - well I feel like there is a burning painful hole there just above and to the left of my belly button and then today fluid started to come out of my belly button it is a goldenish brownish colour and very smelly - pain is not easing up either - any thoughts?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello dear , hi

Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com
I have evaluated your query thoroughly .

* This seems in relation with omphalitis ( inflammation of the umbilicus ) .

* Needs clinical confirmation with consultant surgeon and an ultrasound
examination for further line of management guidelines .

* Till you meet the doctor , keep the part clean with antiseptic liquids ,
dry and take tab. ibuprofen (400 ) mg 3 times a day after meals .

Hope this clears your query thoroughly .

Wishing you fine recovery .
Regards .
