What Causes Pain From Top Of Foot To Knee?

What causes a severe pain from the top of your foot (I have a knot there) to well above the knee. In the area above the knee the skin is numb to the touch but the tissue underneath feels like it is burning, and sometimes I have sharp pains across it. I have been tested for diabetes and gout, both came back negative. I was given indomethicin and tramadol with no effect.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I have studied your case and reports
Canal stenosis leads to burning/numb sensation and pain in your foot and thigh.
MRI may shows mild to moderate disc bulge with canal stenosis.

For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication can be started.
Till time, avoid lifting weights, Sit with support to back. You can consult physiotherapist for help.
Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give quick relief.
I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
