What Causes Pain Around The Knees Upon Stretching It?

Hi there! I was sitting watching a movie at my friend s house. As I was sitting, I kept changing my position to become comfy. Also, before that I had a soccer game where I was pushed to the ground once. But after the movie, when I straighten my leg and stretch it, it hurts around my knee. What does this mean? Will it be gone tomorrow? What did I do to it?

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi,

Pain around the knee on stretching it could be because of either an early onset of arthritis or it could be because of spasm of the muscles or venous stasis in the blood vessels around the knee joint.

May I suggest that you approach your primary care physician with these possibilities and get yourself evaluated, please.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
