General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Pain and swelling what you are experiencing in the mons pubis could be due to infection of the region.

It needs to be clinically evaluated as to whether the infection is superficial or deep.

If it is superficial, it can be taken care of by local treatment with antiseptics and an appropriate course of antibiotics.

If it is deep and there is the presence of a cyst, it needs to be drained surgically along with intake of anti-inflammatory medication and a course of appropriate antibiotics.

Kindly consult Obstetrician for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
