What Causes Pain And Swelling In The Armpit?

Artery under right armpit is swelling and sensitive, paint extends to underside of right arm when right arm is raised. What causes this? Other veins on both arms are popping out. I attribute this to challenging physicall workout 5 days a week bussing tables and washing dishes in a restaurant. I am 68 years old, male and still vertical and breathing. Should I be concerned?
