Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have clogged duct of salivary gland due to formation of crystalline stones into the ducts of the glands and it is leading to accumulation or pooling of saliva into the glands and it is causing swelling..

The condition is known as Sialolithiasis and the stones formed as Sialoliths..

As the saliva flow increases during meals therefore the swelling suddenly increases during eating due to backflow and accumulation of saliva into the glands causing expansion of the gland leading to swelling and pain...

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated and a cross sectional x ray and MRI scan will help in diagnosis..

In case of stone formation if it is superficial manual removal will be done..
In case of deeper stones surgical removal is advised under Sialoscopic guidance..

As of now drink plenty of water and suck tart candies and sugarfree chewing gums as at times the stones can be flushed out of the ducts of the gland with the flow of saliva..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
