What Causes Pain And Pressure In Ear Post Childbirth?

My wife just had our daughter Friday at 1:01 pm. We got home yesterday around 5:00. Everything was fine until a few hours ago. She has a lot of pain in her left ear. She took a shower so I thought maybe she got water in her ears but she said it feels more like pressure instead. Wondering if it s something we can fix here at home or if we need to have it looked at

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If the pain is severe then she may need to be assessed by her doctor.

Ear pain can be due to different causes such as infection, sinusitis, trauma, presence of a lesion in the ear, gum infection..

If she has sinus problems then the use of a decongestant and antihistamine may help.

If this is not the case, she may need review to determine the exact cause.

I hope this helps
