What Causes Pain And Inflammation On The Hips While On Lexapro?
My 88 year old mother was recently admitted to an assisted living facility. She has Lexapro 10mg daily, Tylenol #3 prn, Seroquel 25mg bid, and an antibiotic. She has been complaining of hip pain. When I checked her hip there was scattered areas of warmth without redness. I will be taking her for a xray of her hip. Is there anything else I should consider.

Acute onset of hip pain along with other signs of inflammation can occur due to joint infection, trauma, etc. X-ray of the hip joint and further evaluation including arthrocentesis (depending on X-ray results) may be warranted.
Please be advised to follow up with her primary provider/urgent care as soon as possible. Management will depend on the underlying condition. Meanwhile, continue using Tylenol for pain.
