What Causes Outbreak Of Rashes While On Doxycycline And Flagyl?

I'm taking doxycycline and flagyl for an infection and now my body is breaking out in a bad rash. I went to the ER and was told to just take Benedryl but that does not help. The rash is only on my neck and tummy but is slowly spreading. I'm thinking it's an allergic reaction from the meds. The doctor really didn't give me any answers.They start off as red bumps and slowly turn into little red dry patches. I was thinking hives but these haven't gone away. SOS SOS SOS

As per your complain outbreak of rashes over the body after taking antibiotics seems to be most probably be due to allergic reaction to antibiotics as it is a common presentation of antibiotics that a person is allergic to it..

As Benadryl did not help, you need not to worry, consult an Allergist and get evaluated and he can give you injectable anti allergics and steroids to relieve the symptoms..
You can be advised blood tests to rule out the exact cause of allergic reaction and treated accordingly..
You should immediately stop taking antibiotics.
As of now continue taking Benadryl..
