What Causes Numbness On The Toes And The Balls Of The Feet?

After reading about peripheral neuropathy, that s what I think I have. I have numbness on the bottom of my toes and balls of my feet for years and no pain. Do I have to worry about it. I exercise my toes and roll on a tennis ball hoping it will go away. I can bend my toes but cannot spread my big toe from the second toe. Never mind...I thought this was free.
