What Causes Numbness On The Tip Of The Nose While Suffering From Tardive Dyskinesia?

I am a 67 year old woman. I have tardive dyskinesia, suffer from depression and recently had periodontal surgery. I am now experiencing numbness in the tip of my nose, my lips and the little finger of my left hand. I also have skin sensitivity on my chin. Are these symptoms related to each other and to one of my current conditions?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Numbness in the tip of the nose may be due to cold-induced frostbite or hypotension or hypoperfusion or it may be due to hypocalcemia or hypomagnesemia or neuropathy with carpal tunnel syndrome or b12 deficiency etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please get checked for blood pressure, haemoglobin status, serum electrolytes, serum calcium and thyroid profile.

CT/ MRI brain then consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
