Hello,
Thank you for your question. I understand your concern.
In my opinion the symptoms you describe are not due to a
nerve entrapment. The nerve ( the Trigeminus nerve ) responsible for the sensibility of half of your face , is responsable also for the sensibility of half of the tongue ( same part) and not just the tip. Your symptoms are not suggesting a nerve intrapement .
But I think that after having excluded
anemia and
thyroid disorders , a neurological examination followed by a brain
MRI should be done to exclude another disorder like Multiple
Sclerosis.
Nothing to worry about. This could be a less probable diagnosis, but it is necessary to be excluded.
In my opinion the more probabel cause could be psychological , but you have to exclude other causes to get to this conclusion.
Wish to have been helpful !
