General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I would like to give some tests:
1. Nerve Conduction study
2. MRI of the finger
3. MRI of the neck
4. test for Vitamin B12 and RA.

If possible, I also advise you to have a physical neurological checkup.

I also suggest you to follow these guidelines:
1. massage the finger and neck
2. Apply warm compress in both
3. Regularly exercise the finger. For pain, you can take Ibuprofen 400mg every 6 hours as needed.

After the test, please post another question with the results and a doctor will give you next course of treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dipan Samanta, General & Family Physician
