What Causes Numbness In The Gums After A Dental Surgery?

I had oral surgery on February 15. The procedure was cutting crack roots in my tooth. The inside of my gums are still numb, also part of my tooth is numb. I also have a fizziness on my tongue in the numb area. Why is this happening and how do I fix this problem?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

Numbness of gums even after about 2 months of oral surgery is indicating that there has been nerve damage during the surgery leading to numbing of the area supplied by the nerve fibres that are damaged..

So my suggestion is to consult an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated so that appropriate x Ray and MRI Scan can be done to check for the nature of nerve damage that whether it is reversible or irreversible and then it treatment can be done accordingly..

As of now take Vitamin B complex supplements as they are helpful in nerve repair and regeneration..

Hope this information helps..

Regards..
