What Causes Numbness In The Fingers And Slurred Speech?

my fingers on both hands have only about 20% sensation. My toes a bit more. This has been present for more than 2 yrs. I also developed a speech disorder at the same time. I stutter now. A neurologist said the numbing is not peripheral neuropathy. I have 2 spine conditions though--stenosis in lumbar & cervical regions & severe sciatica. I take 20 mgs. of Prednisone & 20 of Norco now. What could be causing this disability? I m miserable & no diagnosis from 2 neuro doctors. Can you help? By the way, I m a 72 yr old female. Thanks

Hi,

Spinal stenosis may can cause tingling and numbness in the both arms and legs. You have to check for cause of stenosis is it spondylosis or disc bulge or any tumor, etc.

Get it done MRI spine and nerve conduction study. Use tablet Pregabalin once daily for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your neurophysician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
